OpenStreetMap (OSM) is a collaborative, openly licensed map database of roads, buildings, places, land use and much more. Most open basemaps, routing engines and geocoders are built on OSM data.
The data is free to use, including commercially, under the Open Database License, as long as you credit OpenStreetMap contributors and share improvements to the database itself.
